Senator Neville Bonner's visit to Devonport Bluff, Tasmania. Image 1: Mr Bonner is looking at a rock formation (today outside Tiagarra on the Bluff). Its origins have been widely debated. It is possibly a natural formation re-incised by Aboriginal people. It is referred to as the 'abalone' form.

Unfortunately Pierre Slicer was on the mark re: Devonport Council and their prevailing attitude about Aboriginal representation and self determination. The final sentence is especially telling. We are hoping the council today, 40 years later, will present Tiagarra properly, in perpetuity, to the Aboriginal community.
